Rod Seaden has now retired but, ironically, he spent over 40 years with one of the major international pharmaceutical companies. With degenerative arthritis in his toes, knees, knuckles and back, he turned to drugs to keep the inflammation and pain under control. Unfortunately, he then developed pancreatitis.

"The drugs kept my arthritis under control, but I started to get pancreatitis every 6 weeks or so. It was absolute agony. So many times I've been doubled up in pain and rushed into hospital in an ambulance" says Rod.
